Mission & Vision:

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering will develop and produce excellent engineers who will support the high-tech electrical and electronic industry at an affordable cost. This mission requires a balanced and timely education that includes not only strength in the fundamental principles but also experience with the practical skills that are needed to contribute to the complex technological infrastructure of our society. This approach will enable our students to continue learning throughout an extended career in the age of globalization and rapid evolution of electrical & electronic technology, our EEE department seeks to provide strong theoretical foundation, practical engineering skills, experience in interpersonal communication and teamwork, professional conduct and critical thinking.

Admission Requirements:

For admission in B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) a student must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in SSC/O-Level and HSC/A-level. For Diploma Engineers with minimum Second division or minimum GPA 2.5, maximum one year equivalent courses (one-fourth of total credits) may be exempted. A student should have at least second division or minimum GPA 2.5 in both SSC & HSC examinations or a minimum GPA of 2.00 in SSC or in HSC, combined total being not lower than 6.00.Sk student must have at least 5 subjects in 0 Level with average grade point of 2.50 or above and must have 2 subjects in A Level with average grade point of 2.00 and above; and one E is acceptable (in the scale of A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=l). For the children of Freedom Fighters: A minimum GPA of total 5.00 in SSC and HSC examinations must be required (Freedom Fighters Certificate must be produced).

Semester duration:

Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is 4 years for Regular & 44 months for diploma holders program consisting of 12 semesters for regular & 11 semesters for diploma holders. There are 3 trimesters in each academic year namely spring (January to April), summer (May to August), and fall (September to December).

Degree requirement:

At least 148.5 credit hours for regular & 130 credit hours for diploma holders must be earned to be eligible for graduation.

Waiver:

Students will get 15 percent tuition fee waiver if he/she obtained total GPA 7 both in SSC and HSC. But the students those who have obtained total GPA 10 both in SSC and HSC will get 30 percent tuition fee waiver.
